A family support worker is someone who helps families in need of practical or emotional support, particularly when difficulties arise around parenting and the wellbeing of children.

Our role in school is to provide support, advice and information to the families within our school community.  

Advice and support is confidential, although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.

Support for Families can include;

• Improving attendance and punctuality
• Providing information about accessible services
• Completing referrals to relevant agencies
• Empowering and supporting families surrounding the wellbeing of their child
