School Development Priorities

Before we arrive at our School Development Plan, we evaluate the performance of the school and record our findings on our Self-Evaluation form (SEF). In order to accurately evaluate the school, we take into account a range of information and views from different stakeholders, as listed below:

  • Outcomes of book scrutinies and lesson observations by various leaders in the school
  • Pupil surveys
  • Parent surveys
  • Outcomes of audits carried out by external consultants
  • Outcomes of subject audits carried out by subject leaders

School Development Plan Priorities 2026-27

Objective 1 - Inclusion To ensure that all pupils access an ambitious curriculum through adaptive teaching and well-targeted interventions that are monitored, evaluated and adjusted to meet pupils' changing needs.
Objective 2 - Curriculum and Teaching To ensure the English curriculum is coherently planned, sequenced and delivered through high-quality teaching, enabling all pupils to build knowledge, skills and vocabulary progressively and achieve from their individual starting points.
Objective 3 - Achievement To use data forensically to identify strengths, gaps, and target pupils, ensuring that gaps in attainment and progress are quickly narrowed for all pupils.
Objective 4 - Attendance To ensure that attendance is everyone's responsibility and that all staff members understand their role in promoting and maintaining high levels of attendance.
Objective 5 - Behaviour To implement and embed a comprehensive Behaviour Curriculum across the school, promoting consistent routines and fostering a culture of positive learning behaviours.
Objective 6 - Personal Development and Wellbeing To promote pupils' personal development by providing inclusive opportunities that support wellbeing, character development and enrichment for all.
Objective 7 - EYFS To improve outcomes through high-quality teaching, targeted interventions, effective oracy and robust EYFS assessment to ensure all children make strong progress towards the Early Learning Goals
Objective 8 - Leadership and Governance To collectively strengthen leadership and governance to drive continuous school improvement.
